We have to start a movement whether we from any background or ethnic group. The purpose should be to identify our roots and give us coloureds , Khoi, Nama , Cape Malay or Bantu a true an identity to be recognised for the next +100 years . Let’s go to work and change the narrative of being average. Change black tax and also change the mindset of : winning is not everything! Let’s start by saying winning is the ONLY thing!!! I respect every comment and advice I receive, let’s START the movement please!!!!

Wat ek interessant vind is hoe ons onself identifiseer volgens 'n besondere stamlyn. And that is about the extent of the Afrikaans I'd like to risk in public. But what i mean is I find it interesting how we all (and i acknowledge that we all have this right to do so) identify with whichever ancestry we feel comfortable with, whether it is First Nation people like you point out, the Nama and Khoi, or Malay, or Bantu or European. But surely the truth is that by our very definition as Coloureds who have evolved over more than500 years, there are very few of us, if any who can claim pure bloodlines back to a particular ancestry. Surely we are all an eclectic mix of all of the above? Of sit ek die pot mis? Comments please
